Fossil specimen of a whale inner ear bone, called a tympanic bulla. This specimen is from the Neogene or Pleistocene of Charleston County, South Carolina and is part of the research collection of the [Paleontological Research Institution](http://www.priweb.org), Ithaca, New York.
