Loanhead of Daviot Recumbent Stone Circle, Inverurie, Aberdeenshire. This cup marked orthostat is immediately to the east of the east flanker of the recumbent. The stone circle is 20.5 m in diameter with eight standing stones, two flankers and a massive, frost-split recumbent, crouching on a broad shelf at 155 m OD, near the summit of a gentle hill. This cup marked orthostat has a vertical line of five cupmarks on its inner face (another seven appear as slight depressions to the left of the more obvious cup marks using the matcap setting). Only 5 cup marks are mentioned on the information panel at the site. (Canmore mentions 12 cup marks in total) Canmore 18789 NJ 7477 2885
