Kulango People Ceremonial Dance Mask

Description

This face mask comes from the Ivory Coast. It has two large, wing-like projections. It is made of carved wood with a rich red-brown and dark brown patina. There are holes in the perimeter for attaching to a face, and shows evidence of being used.
