Cut out blocks of Orbicular Granite, excavated from the Boogardie Orbicular Granite quarry. The Boogardie Orbicular Granite is located 35 km west of Mount Magnet in the Murchison region. It consists of medium- to coarse-grained biotite monzogranite to granodiorite containing subspherical dioritic orbicules up to 15 cm across, composed mainly of concentric layers of ±radially aligned plagioclase and hornblende. The rock is dated at c. 2692 Ma and is hosted by porphyritic monzogranite dated at c. 2701 Ma.
