Vanguard Exploration Project Structure XIV: Teleportation Threshold The Teleportation Thresholds are capable of transmitting inorganic, organic, and even living matter across distances of up to 25 miles. While convenient and immediate, the Thresholds can, over time, cause negative health effects to living users, thus limiting the frequency with which humans and animals can safely teleport. Thresholds are most commonly used to move supplies from within a settlement to satellite locations for research, resource gathering, or even settlement expansions. In hostile environments, the teleportation process is used as an evasion and survival measure, though dangerous fauna have, on very few occasions, slipped through to the settlement side of the Threshold.
