Description

Figure relief depicting the messenger of the gods Hermes on the former post office building in Purkersdorf. The building in early classicist style from the year 1797 is decorated with a total of 6 reliefs around the activities of the post office. The building was built by hereditary postmaster Joseph Edler von Fürnberg, imperial knight and k.u.k. Colonel.
