Medieval Figure on Lintel, Arcidosso, Tuscany

A Medieval character that looks like a 13th Century Yoda. A similar figure is depicted in The Decretals of Gregory IX with gloss of Bernard of Parma, and other early manuscripts. https://blogs.bl.uk/digitisedmanuscripts/2017/05/ready-are-you-more-medieval-yodas.html We documented a similar image in a large sculpture in the Museum of Evora, Portugal. Also on Sketchfab. More generally, the use of monster faces (or masks) appear in 16th-17th c. public fountains at Arcidosso (near St. Mary Incoronata) and Santa Fiora.
