This is the third fossil crab I ever found and I still remember the rush I experienced when I saw that claw poking out of the concretion. It has a yellowish color and is an extinct Tumidocarcinus giganteus species of crab that lived in relatively deep water off New Zealand. Age: ~12 million years old (Miocene) Location: South Island, New Zealand Size: 15cm long, 9cm wide, 5cm high (6" x 3.5" x 2") Weight: 765g (1.7lbs)
