Wooden sculpture of Jesus

Description

This sculpture is a work of a unknown Italian artist identified as Maestro dei Maggi. He was probably a monk of Olivetano Giovanni di Bartolomeo monastery. He lived and worked around the second half of the XIV century. This work of art is currently being exhibited in Palazzo Venezia in Rome.
