Rúnarsteinur í Sandavági

Description

This 13th century runic stone was found in 1917 in the village of Sandavágur, Faroe Islands. It is now on display in the church in Sandavágur. The inscription reads;Torkil Onundarson from Rogaland was the first man to settle in this area.
