Abandoned millstone quarry in southern Bavaria

Description

The model shows the so-called "Mühlsteinbruch", an abandoned millstone quarry near Altenbeuern, about 8 km south of Rosenheim in southern Bavaria, Germany. The rock is a hard quartz sandstone from the Helvetic period, which was quarried by hand for the production of millstones until the 19th century. The photos were taken with a drone on 24.04.2022 and processed to a 3D model with Agisoft Metashape.
