Description

**Location:** Rambla del Cuervo, Las Negras, Cabo de Gata Natural Park, Spain **Longitude:** 2° 0'32.79"W **Latitude:** 36°52'10.41"N Alluvium, in which clasts with sizes ranging from pebbles to cobbles are supported by a sandy matrix. The deposit is only weakly lithified and erodes into badlands. The outcrop is a subvertical cliff several meters tall which formed when the stream (which is really a *rambla* - or wash) eroded downwards into its own older deposits. The base of the outcrop is the currently-active channel in this wash. On top of the alluvium here there is a thin layer of colluvium.
