CGCookie Mesh-modeling Fundamentals Exercise01

I'm relearning Blender from the basics so I'm going through the CGCookie courses and I'm finally done with the first exercise. The cube turned into something kind of like a weird alien altar, the cone I just cut a few times because I couldn't think what to do with it, and the sphere turned into some weird spinning top like thing.
