Florida Live Oak consuming lichen covered strap

Description

Long forgotten hoisting strap and buckles were left behind by a landscaping crew. This live oak is growing around the strap and the lichen’s are camouflaging what the tree hasn’t eaten yet. Lakeland Florida. July 2021
