amazonite with biotite and quartz 9-19

Description

This is a specimen of granitic rock but is rather special. The blue-green mineral is amazonite, a variety of the feldspar microcline. This is a relatively unusual color for microcline. The feldspar is accompanied by black biotite, whitish plagioclase (another feldspar) and lesser amounts of grey glassy quartz.
