Since the advent of modern technology as we know it, we have been perpetually projected into an ever expanding notion of "the future". With each iteration, the world has incrementally been transforming into an advanced state of our current existence. The introduction of 5G serves as milestone in humnity's advancement, but when the one sided, linear trajectory of technological advancement is interogated, the implications of a perpetual projection into the "future" is unveiled. By constanstly having to adapt our lifestyles on a yearly basis to keep up with the rapid evolution of technology, it takes a toll on us mentally and physically. Hence, the speed and one directionality of technology, maybe responsible for the anxiety arund 5G. In response, 5G networks could be reshaped to creste moments of deaccelaration and instances of this could be introduced in an attempt to restore balance. Hence giving us the ability to "time travel", to escape 5G's linear trajectory. Students: Daniyal Sharieff, Janu Prajapati
