Here is a 3d representation of the famous mnemonic for anti-cholinergic toxicity: "Hot as a fare" (increased body temperature due to decreased sweating) "Dry as a bone" (decreased mucus and sweat secretions "Red as a beet" (flushed skin due to superficial vasodilation from increased body heat) "Blind as a bat" (cylcopegia, mydriasis - due to paralysis of the ciliary muscle and iris sphincter) "Mad as a hatter" (altered mental status due to CNS entry via BBB) "Full as a flask" (constipation, urinary retention; due to decreased smooth muscle contraction & decreased detrusor/internal urethral contraction) "Fast as a fiddle" (tachycardia, due to decreased vagal tone at the SA node)
