Danish Pie / Safe Corner Cut

Description

Face cut made as normal. A bore cut is then made from the side right through the tree. The bar is then brought back to a depth of half the diameter and then cut straight back. After placing the felling bar in the bore cut to prevent the tree sitting back a final back cut is made under the bore cut overlapping by around 10mm. Can be used on trees between 200 and 380mm regardless of lean.
