Kanawha Stemmed projectile point made of vanport (also known as flint ridge) flint. Weight: 9.9 g. Max thickness: 8 mm. Found in Ross County, Ohio. Donated by Jonathan "Jeb" Bowen. Kanawha stemmed points date to the Middle Archaic period (circa 6500 to 3500 BCE). This particular projectile point type is also commonly referred to as a "bifurcated" point.
