**Geologic Rule of V's model of strata dipping steeply up valley.** Part of a four-piece teaching set highlighting “Rule of Vs” relationships created by dipping planes interacting with topography. This small block features a stratified sequence of cherry, three layers of green poplar, purpleheart, and maple that is dipping steeply up two broad valleys and cut by a vertical dike of black walnut.
