Velbastaður, Faroe Island. This archaeological trench is located inside a small sub-circular enclosure. It is placed outside the eastern walls of a structure believed to be the ruins of a "Bønhús" (English: Prayer-house), a small medieval church, abandoned after the Reformation. The placename Kirkjugarður (English: Churchyard), indicates that the enclosure is a graveyard. The excavation started in the summer of 2016.
