Cup Mark Rosette - Algarve, Portugal

Description

Recorded in the vicinity of the Necropole da Pedreirinha near Vale Fuzeiros, Algarve, Portugal. This was found on a small outcrop in the scrubland near the Necropole da Pedreirinha, two rock-cut tombs that are supposedly of Visigoth age (C5-6th). The cup marks are likely to be considerably older, maybe contemporary with the nearby standing stones, the Menhirs dos Vilarinhos. This is likely to be a new find, not previously recorded.
