Demonstration how well can one frame attack/hurt animations work with timeframe/stopmotion. I made 8 frames of regular walking animation. Then I duplicated that animation and made variation with jaws open. Then it is just matter of replacing walk frame with corresponding attack frame. So it is: Walk 1 Walk 2 Walk 3 "Enemy decides to attack" Attack 4 Walk 5 Walk 6 "Enemy decides to attack" Attack 7 Walk 8 In addition to this, it is possible to just reverse roles of animations to sign if enemy is badly hurt for example. Attack becomes regular walk (bear pants in pain) and closes mouth to simulate bite.
