Biomphalaria glabrata

Description

The shell of a small snail (*Biomphalaria glabrata*) which is a major vector for parasites that cause tropical diseases. As such, these snails are an important focus for Life Science researchers at the NHM. The shell was scanned using our Faro Edge laser scanner. It is 10mm across at life size.
