Cave Deposits and Fault Plane

Description

Buco del Piombo Cave - Alpe del viceré complex - Southern alps - Lombardy - Italy Cave Deposits with flattened and imbricated pebbles in a fine matrix. The sedimentary wreck is protected and resting on a fault plane characterized by kinematic indicators such as grooves, steps and calcitic mineralizations. The fault plane, in low angle and concordant with bedding, can be ascribed to flexural sliding in a simple shear system in agreement with regional tectonics.
