Ballochmyle Graffiti

Description

The date 1751 carved into a red sandstone rock wall at Ballochmyle, Ayrshire, Scotland. On the same wall there is an unusually high number of prehistoric cup & ring marks. These stone marking is problematic to date precisely but I wonder if studying the weathering of dateable additions like this could help?
