Creeping spurge (Euphorbia myrsinites, german: Walzen-Wolfsmilch) near the parish church of St. Jakob in Limberg. The German name refers to the cylindrical branches that grow up to 30 centimetres long. The evergreen perennial grows to around 15 centimetres high and is ideal for growing in sunny places in rock gardens, dry slopes and from wall joints. The entire plant is covered with a waxy layer, and the flowering period is between March and July, depending on the location. In parts of the USA, the plant is considered a dangerous weed. By law, the possession and cultivation of Euphorbia myrsinites is prohibited in the state of Colorado.
