The Inverclyde class of dreadnoughts were a larger varient of the original dreadnoughts launched in 1906, with the intent of having a larger broadside but still using the original 310mm guns, thus saving in time and cost. The design was lengthened overall to allow for more speed and for the more efficient in-line layout, with the armour being boosted overall aswell. In total the design came in at 27,500 tonnes. They were laid down in 1908 and launched over a year layer in 1909, then finished in 1911 with a total of 3 being built. When completed they were to some degree outdated due to the 310mm being less powerful than the up and coming ships with more powerful guns, but were still capible of keeping up due to their linear broadside.their war careers often involved naval skirmishes around the Searadia region and across the surounding ocean over the years, before being withdrawn for home service. Unlike the dreadnoughts they were kept around up until the 1950's for various reasons.
