Description

この辺り一帯の高台は、平安時代 末期から澁谷氏 一族の居館 の跡で、東に鎌倉街道 (現 八幡通り)、西に渋谷川 が流れ、北東には黒鍬谷を有し、さらに数箇所に湧水があるという好条件を備えていました。 しかし、その館いわゆる渋谷城 は大永四年(一五二四)、北条氏綱と上杉朝興 の高輪原の戦 (現品川区高輪付近)のとき、渋谷氏 が交戦中だった北条軍の別動隊により襲われ焼き払われてしまいました。 Last Stone of the Shibuya Fortress scans with iPhone12 Pro (Scaniverse) In the late Heian period (794-1185), the Shibuya clan built their fortress in this area serving as an important traffic junction. The clan took residency at the fortress until it was burned down during the Warring States period in 1524.
