Description
Dr Murray (1782-1864) was born in Montego Bay, Jamaica, son of the local doctor. At the age of four he returned to the UK and trained as a doctor himself. Initially working in Knaresborough, he was an active naturalist and geologist. He retired to Scarborough and was a founder member of the Scarborough Philosophical Society. Scanned with a Faro Laser Arm.
