Coral: Siderastrea dalli (PRI 76789)

Description

Fossil specimen of the scleractinian coral *Siderastrea dalli*, with the coral *Dichocoenia eminens* growing upon it; also present are the coral barnacles *Ceratoconcha prefloridana*, as well as other small encrusters. Specimen is from the Pleistocene Caloosahatchee Formation of Florida (PRI 76789). Specimen is from the collections of the [Paleontological Research Institution](http://www.priweb.org), Ithaca, New York. Longest dimension of specimen is approximately 12 cm. Model by Emily Hauf.
