Little Law 'Cup Marked'(?) Stone

Description

Canmore ID 342845: A cup marked stone, c. 0.3m x 0.4m x 0.3m, with one complete cup and one half-cup (on account of the stone being broken) was found during field survey as part of the Fallago Ridge Wind Farm application. It is located on a small break in slope on the west shoulder of Little Law overlooking the Shiel Burn. The site was visited by me 16/9/2020 and a 3D model made of the stone at the GPS coordinates given. It does not appear that the depressions in the stone are neolithic cup marks and the depression appears to be a natural feature common on boulders in the Lammermuir Hills.
