Asics Gel Nimbus 21

Description

My third attempt at scanning a shoe. Goal was to align and merge the body and sole of the shoe using dense cloud models to auto generate masks from two seperate chunks (top and bottom). **Metashape:** 303 Photos shot on iPhoneXS. Original scan 3.5 MM faces. Decimated to 500K face and exported as an OBJ. **Instant Meshes:** Auto generated quads (reduced to 120K faces) **Maya:** Closed a couple holes on the inside of the shoe and auto generated UV's. **Metashape:** Imported new quad OBJ with maya UV's to generate new texture from Metashape.
