Ammonite Fossil

Description

This is a 3D model of an Promicroceras ammonite fossil. The original object was a gift from my mother when I was a child. The central coils are filled with honey yellow calcite and are translucent. Most likely it originates from the southwestern coast of England, probably from the area around Dorset. Dating: Lower Jurassic Period, c. 200-174 mya (million years ago)
