Tritemnodon is a group of early carnivores from the Eocene of Wyoming around the size of a wolf. Tritemnodon is within a larger group called Hyaenodontidae, which includes early large carnivores with teeth specialized for slicing through meat. Their bodies were slender and long, and range in sizes from modern bears to medium-sized dogs. This specimen shows one side (of two) of the lower jaw of Tritemnodon. Scanned with the David SLS-2
