The Saneta apparatus was used for therapeutic electrical body massage with a high frequency current of between 100 and 250 V. The device presented here consists of a high voltage generator connected to a Tesla transformer built into a handle, which serves as the grip for the replaceable glass electrode. The electrodes were filled with an inert gas, usually neon or argon. In operation, the gas shone violet, blue, or pink. The user massaged the skin with the electrode, causing a flow of high frequency alternating current through the body. When the electrode was held close to the skin the patient felt tingling, and when in contact with the skin - warmth. Electrotherapy devices were very popular in the 1920s and 1930s. They were used in clinics, by doctors, natural therapists, and regular people. Manufacturer: ETA, lata 20./30. XX w. Inv.
