According to the museum [website](http://collection.cmoa.org/CollectionDetail.aspx?item=1018043&retPrompt=Back+to+Results&retUrl=CollectionSearch.aspx%3flocation%3dArt%2bbefore%2b1300%2bGallery%26page%3d5), the Buddha is from Pakistan and dated to the 2nd-3rd century in the Kushan period (50-320 CE).
