Since the binding domain of JMJD2A is located within the centre of the globular JmjC domain, it is quite difficult to clearly observe the important interactions while a surface representation is present. To assist with visualising the binding of the N-terminal histone tail to JMJD2A, I generated this second model containing a surface representation. If this is outside the scope of the assignment, I am happy for this model to be ignored in place of the image which is used in the actual guided tour.
