Description

A pioneer in the evolution of crash-rescue vehicles, the O-11 entered service with the USAF in 1952 as one of the first vehicles designed specifically to fight military aircraft crash fires. The O-11A pictured here entered the fire school at Lowry AFB in 1954, retiring at Chanute AFB in the 1980s.
