Cross of arcs found in northern segment of Clonfert graveyard during grave digging. It is carved on a now broken limestone pillar or perhaps lintel. These crosses were likely compass drawn. May date between 6th and 9th century. In the South West of the country they are often associated with pilgrimage routes thus Peter Harbison sees them as associated with pilgrimage. Discovered by Michael Galvin and the late Seamus Hynes.
