Roman sanctuary

Description

Small rock sanctuary, pagan, devoted to a divinity (Hercules?) Located near one of the narrow streets linking the hills with the valley of Terracina. The deity holds a stick with his right hand and with the left a mantle. On the rock were two holes for the insertion of a shed. Dating: from the 3rd to the 2nd century BC This Roman shrine, carved in the rock, is located in Terracina, Italy.
