Near the Carr Brae viewpoint above Loch Duich at NG 89785 24532, this cup marked stone looks as if has been re-used as a standing stone by prehistoric man. however, I'm almost certain that this is not the case as easrlier records don't indicate or describe a standing stone at all, just a cup marked rock. I'm pretty sure that the stone has been upended by the farmer in more recent times to serve as a scratching post for the horses & other livestock that are kept in the field. A couple of the lower cup marks were partially buried, suggesting that there may be more continuing on the underground surface of the stone.
