*Megatherium americanum* – back of skull Description: This is a 3D laser surface scan of the back of the cranium of *Megatherium americanum*. It was collected in 1832 at Punta Alta in Argentina by Charles Darwin and is between 126,000 and 8,000 years old. It is part of the Earth Sciences collection at the Natural History Museum, London. This has been scanned as part of the Museum’s Darwin Fossil Mammals digitisation project.
