# Slave Workers Memorial - Westmount Jersey This memorial was established after WW2 to remember the slave workers forced by the Nazi occupiers to build the German wartime infrastructure and defences on the Island. Jews, Soviet Russians, French, Spanish Republic, Polish, Belgium, Belarus, Moroccan, Algerian and Tunisian slave labourors are all remembered. Not all were Slaves, some were forced labourors in the service of Organisation Todt.
