Burned landscape post-rainfall (PC)

Description

This point cloud shows the burned Las Lomas watershed following a storm with intense rainfall that triggered debris flows and flash floods. Sediment and debris eroded from the hillslopes can be seen in the retention basin. The point cloud is based on the low resolution photogrammetry settings using Pix4Dmapper. The concrete structure at the mouth of the canyon is a debris retention basin designed to mitigate flash flood and debris flows hazards during rainstorms. A residential community exists just below the debris basin.
