Groaning Rock - Jackson County GA

Groaning Rock is a local historical landmark that Commerce, Georgia was once named for. Lore has it that when the wind would pass through the rock it would make a groaning noise. This landmark was once a prominent stopping point on the Lacoda Trail. It is on PRIVATE property and not able to be visited without permission.
