Clay mask of Huwawa (Humbaba), a monster who guards the cedar forest in the [Epic of Gilgamesh](https://skfb.ly/6IIxT). He is depicted as hideous with entrails of sheep covering his face. Gilgamesh and a friend, Enkidu, journey to the forrest to kill Huwawa and cut down the Lebanese cedars in a bid to gain eternal fame.
