Indo-Burman Ranges (IBR)

Description

This 3D model combines surface geology of eastern Bangladesh onto the topography of the IBR. It is generated using the program tectoplot (https://github.com/kyleedwardbradley/tectoplot), for module ES3102 Global Tectonics, ASE, NTU. Topography is from GMT’s online topography database (03s); focal mechanisms are from GCMT; the slab interface geometry is from Slab2.0; surface geology is from USGS GIS Datasets of Bangladesh (USGS shapefile\metadata) https://certmapper.cr.usgs.gov/data/apps/world-maps/ tectoplot command used: tectoplot -r 91 93 20.5 25 -t 03s -t0 -c -b -timg 03s_buffer.tif -geotiff -noframe -makeply topoexag 3 maxsize 800 maptiff box 50; 03s_buffer.tif is a QGIS output of the vector layer containing surface geology of eastern Bangladesh
