Description

This is a plastinated human heart that was donated for research. The donor was a 51 year old female with a history of hypertension and heart failure. Some parts of this model were treated with a 3D scanning spray prior to imaging. The slicing allows for great appreication of the trebeculation of the heart. In addition, the atrioventricular valves and papillary muscles can be seen very well.
