Dalton Projectile Point

Description

Dalton Projectile Point (Catalog # 2004.48.192), a part of the Michigan State University Museum's Archaeology Teaching Collection. This tool, made out of chert, is associated with the Late Paleoindian and Early Archaic Periods of North America and is primarily found in the Midwest and Southeastern United States. These projectile points were used as spear or dart points, as well as multi-purpose cutting tools.
